I have a few friends that recently had babies, so I’m behind in my baby gift buying. Putting together this baby gift guide gave me the boost I needed to get my shopping done. So cute!

It’s true that art is personal, but if you know somebody well, you should still be able to choose a piece of art that suits him or her. A pretty landscape, a funky abstract, a minimalist still life, a furry little animal. There are a number of subjects and price points for artwork as gifts.

As I mentioned last Monday, StyleCarrot has partnered with Finnish design house Marimekko with a series of holiday gift guides, among other projects. (Tomorrow evening I’ll be live blogging from the Marimekko flagship on Newbury Street in Boston—please stop by if you’re around.)
Las Monday’s gift guide, Marimekko for the Host, focused on tabletop and kitchen items. For our second installment, we bring you Marimekko fashions for your best friend, cousins, etc.— Marimekko clothing and accessories for men, women, and kids.

I started out thinking it would be hard to pull together a great gift guide for guys, but it turns out there is quite a bit of choice if you spend some time looking. Lucky for you, I did the work for you. These presents men are all under $100, and run the gamut from rugged accessories to useful gadgets. I hope something here appeals to you so you can check your boyfriend, husband, brother, or gay best friend off your list. And being Black Friday, there’s a ton of stuff on sale out there.

Here’s a compilation of lovely presents for a friend or sister, all under $25. A few are from online boutiques you may not have heard of, , sites that are worth exploring whether you’re buying for yourself or choosing holiday gifts.
ModCloth has really cute clothing at great prices (I just bought this adorable camera tee). Furbish Studio, a boutique in Raleigh owned by designer Jamie Meares, has fun home furnishings, as well as gifty gems. And, I just discovered including Waiting on Martha, an e-boutique and blog by Mandy Kellogg Rye, who plans to open a brick and mortar outpost in Atlanta next year.
