Diseño, the SoWa home furnishings boutique stocked with earthy, trendy treasures from South America, is celebrating their third anniversary with a great big sale. Yay, we love home accessory sales. All in stock merchandise is 20% to 50% off through April 10th. This includes furniture, lighting, throws, pillows, and all sorts of rugs – woven leather, suede shag, cowhide, and shearling. Look at all the excellent stuff.

Deal Alert: Sample Sale in Fort Point
This Saturday afternoon, March 20th 12pm to 4pm at a Fort Point venue called THE LOFT (319 A St., 3rd floor), Boston boutique owners are gathering to unload items at excellent prices.

Other vendors, such as Bryce Sin Care (organic and paraben-free), ICU-In Paris (gorgeous, on-trend jewelry) and Fabricadabra (a-mazing ikat pillows – I have three) will also be offering up their wares.
The only catch? It’ll cost you: $15 in advance, $20 at door. But ticket price includes 2 specialty cocktails and a gift bag. Click here to buy tix.
Shop Alert: Shoo Woo Opens In Copley
Boston’s Copley Place has a new shoe shop, shoeWoo. It’s a chain (this seems to be the company’s sixth outpost) that carries affordable lines that include Nine West, Joan & David, AK Anne Klein, and Rachel Roy. While the interior looks like a sumptuous shoe salon, the merch seems more fitting to the not quite as fancy Shops at the Prudential. Though, I suppose it’s not all Jimmy Choo, Tiffany, and Louis Vuitton at Copley Place; that’s where I shop J. Crew. I haven’t actually checked out shoeWood yet, but next time I need a mall fix I’ll definitely wander in.

Shop Alert: Brooklyn Industries Opening on Newbury
Gorgeous in Boston today. So nice that i went outside – TWICE. Really needed some air and movement after spending this rainy spring break on the sofa, fingers glued to my Mac. Not only did I enjoy the sunshine, I got a blog post out of it. Brooklyn Industries is moving in on the last block of Newbury, amidst Puma and Madewell.
Looks similar to Madewell and Spitawell for that matter, but hey, there can never be too many options for on trend affordable clothing, in my humble but ever fashionable opinion. I checked out the site and here’s what I came up with:
Shop Alert: Spring’s Sprung at Stel’s
Tina Burgos of Stel’s just emailed to say that the boutique’ spring lines have arrived, including pieces by:
• Gary Graham, who was recently nominated for the CFDA Designer of the Year award. Tina says,
“We love his spring flannel, paired with feminine touches.”
• Surface to Air, a new addition to the Newbury Street boutique. She notes, “It’s sophisticated and elegant urban wear.”
• Kid’s lines Popupshop and Wovenplay are new additions to Stel’s tot shop within a shop, Monkey & The Bug, which has also expanded its offerings up to size 8.
Loving this Gary Graham silk “flannel” plaid dress ($595), and not just because it’s logger chic week at Style Carrot.
