A breezy, beautiful day. But before we abandon the chilly season altogether, I thought I’d break out the branches. While I’m sorta over the branch branch furniture and accessories (though I included some shots), I love the real thing used as sculpture. And I still adore the wallpapers.

I came across a blurb I pulled out of Lucky about Mixed Greens Gallery while I was diligently clearing out my file cabinet last night. The mixed media works/installations of Kimberley Hart caught my eye, probably because taxidermy is so everywhere-you-look right now. These are fabrications, not the real thing.

I went back to Michelle Willey today to buy one of the striped summer scarves I posted about earlier this week. There were only five left, well four now. And I’m still admiring these Cold Mountain porcelain vases. They have a wonderful matte finish, smooth, with textural ridges. The design was inspired by the reclusive Tang Dynasty poet Han Shan, who was known for his eccentric simplicity and love of nature.
