Montage: 47 Bunny Rabbit Rooms

Bunnies were out and about riding the (cotton) tails of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland in 2010, but the trend didn’t end there. While I wouldn’t say the rabbit is the “it” creature of the moment (post on those in coming weeks), they’ve certainly been hopular. (Sorry.) Last week we posted a trend roundup “Hip Hop” on The Inside Source, and in honor of Easter I’m following up here, with quite a few great bunny rabbit rooms; not all of them for kids.

On Trend: 35 Arrays of Arrows and Targets

I’ve been collecting images of arrows and targets for a while; I think I began to notice the trend in the fall. I thought it was a natural outgrowth of the trend of using feathers in decor, but I actually think it is part of The Hunger Games hoopla. In any case, I did a a piece on the arrow trend for The Inside Source earlier this year, and profiled blogger Amanda Hanley, in the Boston Globe Magazine. Put off by the high prices of vintage arrows, Hanley makes and sells arrows through her webshop Quivver. I, along with everyone else, saw The Hunger Games over the weekend, and as such felt inspired to post the roundup. UPDATE: I can’t believe I forgot about my own display of targets… They’re by Tracy Melton, and they’re hanging in our house on the Cape. It’s the first photo on the 23 Wall Installations post.

Get the Look: 34 (Mostly) Modern Sculptures

Bronze sculptures are expensive, modern or new, but there are examples of vintage and contemporary pieces in other mediums, like wood and ceramic, that are well within reach. I love the well-above-my-price-range biomorphic bronze by Antoine Poncet, as well as Kelly Wearstler’s cheeky legs. And the Finnish sheep in smooth black wood is adorable.
