Montage: Ode to Eames – the Rocker

How can you not like the Charles and Ray Eames molded plastic rocker? It comes in pretty, yet practical colors, and like many mid-century modern pieces, works in a variety of rooms and settings. It’s whimsical but not cutesy. We have one in our son’s room on the Cape. It’s perfect for kids because it can’t be ruined, but it’s comfortable enough for Grandma to sit in too when she reads bedtime stories. Here’s an array of images, many from Flickr, but from magazines too.
