Hydrangea; different color, but just as good as in summer.

New rose bushes producing pretty flowers that look gorgeous against my Sarah Lutz painting, not to mention the beautiful cover of Georgia O’Keeffe: Visions of Hawai’i (Prestel, 2018).

Looking back at these little sprigs of lavender from the early spring, snipped from our Cape Cod garden.

If you don’t have your own flower garden (or want to leave it intact), there’s always the local florist. If you’re down under, check out Flowers Across Sydney.

Cape Cod in June can be quite sparse. Two weeks ago there were actually more blooms in our yard than there are now. I cut this branch from a flowering tree (bush)? I’m not sure what it’s called. The flowers lasted over a week, but now the tree has only green leaves. Maybe I’ll find something else out there tomorrow morning after all the weekend rain.
