Color Palettes: Lizzie Fortunato Jewelry

As you probably know, I love Lizzie Fortunato jewelry. You probably also know that I do some work for contemporary design site, Design Milk. That includes using the site Colourlovers.com to create color palettes for various interiors and artwork. This week I experimented using Lizzie Fortunato necklaces and earrings, but the editor isn’t a fan. (She prefers architectural designs.) I’m posting the palettes here instead. And, in case you missed it, here are more of my favorite pieces in the Spring 2013 collection.

 Pieces of Porcelain
$32—$149, exclusively at Gretel

Pieces of Porcelain by Mod Collective is designed and crafted by Valissa Butterworth, a fine art graduate living and working in Melbourne, Australia.

Once she completes the design, Butterworth prints them with 3D printers, then molds and casts each by hand using colored porcelain. Glazed with a clear gloss glaze on the inside, they’re safe for food. The exterior is left raw, the tactile surface a direct reflection of the technology used to print each part.
