Covet: Recycled Wood Necklace by Treehorn

Recycled wood necklace by Treehorn Designs

Such a simple idea, yet really appealing, Australian label Treehorn Designs takes old pieces of wood, adds color blocking, drills a whole, and strings them up on a chain. It’s very architectural, but rough and crafty too.
Available at Moose, $33 AUD (basically the same amount US)

Covet: Lulu Frost x J.Crew Bangles

Lulu Frost for J.Crew bangles

I spotted this stack of art deco-inspired resin Lulu Frost for J.Crew bangles ($45 – $118) on 770 Behind the Line, the “(un)official” J.Crew blog. I think I prefer the stacked “sculpture” over having them clang around on my wrist. Or maybe just as this photograph, framed on the wall.

Covet: Pigeon Toe Ceramics Porcelain Disc Chimes

I’ve been a fan of Portland, Oregon studio Pigeon Toe Ceramics since its advent in 2009, but my love has been renewed with these charming wind chimes.

Designer Lisa Jones strings hand-thrown, glazed porcelain discs on deerskin cords (available in six different colors) or a more monochromatic natural jute twine. The irregularly rounded forms and gentle clinking sounds are welcome departures from more intrusive, metal chimes that echo on otherwise peaceful summer eves.

(Disc Chimes, $44 for 4 discs; $70 for 8.)
