Shopping Trip: Provincetown’s South Stream Design

There’s a new home design boutique in Provincetown. There’s no name on the outside, but the hang tags on the items say South Stream Design Christian Soderstrom. I think he may be an interior designer. I chatted with him briefly on Memorial Day weekend, but it was their first day and things were busy. The shop is enchanting, mixing home accessories with garden ornaments (new, old, and reproductions). The prices are extremely reasonable and I was excited to see he Cavern wallpaper on two of the walls – he even sells it. I picked up a cute garden bunny for my friend Tanya, since she and Rob were making one of their fabulous brunches for us the next morning. The photos I took didn’t come out very well, so I went back last week and shot a few more. And brought home a garden fairy for myself this time.

The bunny. He’d make a great doorstop too.

  1. I love Provincetown but I find shopping there to be difficult b/c everything is sooo expensive (obviously catering to the tourist crowd). I grew up on Cape Cod actually and now every time I visit, the only local things I can afford are food and used books. Although…those are really all one needs anyway, right?

    1. So true, but a little great decor never hurt. Nice we can finally get some here! This shop really is affordable too!

Let's talk style.
