Montage: 20 Penguins and Polar Bears

I’ve been meaning to do a post about giraffes—I’ve been seeing them everywhere—but since it’s holiday time, polar bears and penguins seem more suitable. And in fact, I’ve been seeing a proliferation of penguins in decor lately too. We even have a penguin etching that we purchased a few years back at the SMFA sale that we still need to get framed; there’s an empty spot over the banquette waiting for it. Happy penguin + polar bear season to all.

ARTmonday: School of Museum of Fine Arts Sale

The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Art Sale, featuring works from students, alumni, and faculty to benefit the scholarship program will be held December 8 -11, 2011 at the school, which is right next to the museum. I will certainly post images of artwork I see on opening night, but in the meantime, here are some of our SMFA sale acquisitions from the last several years. Can you tell which are mine and which are my husband’s picks?
